I was recently invited to be the live fashion illustrator for the exclusive reopening of Côte Brasserie Cambridge, celebrating their newly revamped space in the heart of the city — just a stone’s throw from the iconic punting on the River Cam.
Held as a private launch event, the evening brought together influencers, local media, regular guests, and members of the Côte Brasserie head office team for a sophisticated evening of food, celebration, and live art. Positioned within the elegant new setting, I created full-length fashion illustrations of guests on A5 custom Côte-branded cards, using bold black Polychromos pencil with vibrant, hand-applied colour accents to reflect each individual’s style.
Each artwork was completed in 7–10 minutes, offering attendees a personal and memorable keepsake to mark the occasion. As a live event illustrator, it’s always a pleasure to capture people in real-time – blending speed, style, and personality into each sketch.
The energy was warm and welcoming, and the guests were excited to take home a bespoke illustration that celebrated both the event and their own unique look. Live illustration is a creative, engaging way to elevate brand events and connect with guests on a deeper level. Thank you to the Côte Brasserie team for including me in the celebration.
