I’m Megan St Clair, a British artist and illustrator based in London.
My career started as a live catwalk illustrator, attending fashion shows across the globe – including Dior, Celine and Yohji Yamamoto amongst others. Drawing live meant a lack of control over the outcome. Due to speed, location, and viewpoints, the illustrations were immediate responses to the shows. Following 6 years of continuous coverage for publications including Evening Standard, I took this love for risk-taking and pushed myself to work in new ways to create commercial artworks. Now, I create across digital and physical realms. Creating joyful mistakes and creative intricacies which difficult to replicate.
Trained at London College of Fashion, UAL
Originally from Wakefield, West Yorkshire – I grew up around artistic influences. I spent much of my time with music, performing arts, and visiting art galleries. At 16 I moved to London to study at London College of Fashion, UAL. Where I studied Access to HE (Fashion) and BA (Hons) Fashion Illustration.
