As part of UAL’s Digital Fashion Conference and event series hosted at London College of Fashion’s new Stratford campus in the Olympic Park, I had the opportunity to create live digital fashion portraits in real time—streamed directly onto large digital screens as I worked on an iPad using Adobe Fresco.
This interactive experience allowed attendees to witness the entire creative process unfold live, from the first sketch to the final touches—all within just 7 to 10 minutes per portrait. Each illustration celebrated the unique style of the participant, blending fashion illustration with expressive digital artistry.
Using Adobe Fresco’s intuitive brushes and dynamic layers, I was able to deliver high-impact visuals at speed, capturing the energy of each subject while embracing the spontaneity of live creation. The live streaming element added a performance aspect to the event, turning traditional portraiture into a collaborative, real-time digital art installation.
The event highlighted the intersection of technology, fashion, and creativity, aligning perfectly with the forward-thinking spirit of UAL’s new Stratford home. Visitors engaged not only with the final artwork but also with the tools and process behind it—making it an inspiring demonstration of digital fashion illustration in action.
This live portrait session underscored how digital fashion art can be both personal and performative, offering a fresh way to connect audiences to creative practice in a digital-first world.
