When Origins — part of the Estée Lauder family — approached me to create a bespoke artwork for their Covent Garden activation, I knew this was a perfect opportunity to blend storytelling, place, and brand energy through event collateral illustration. The brief centred around the launch of the new GinZing SPF, celebrated with an energising London walk led by wellness creator @zannavandijk. My role: create a map artwork that captured the spirit of the event and brought the GinZing world to life.

Designing a Map Illustration for a London Walk
To support Origins’ #SPFWalk, I produced a custom map artwork that acted as both a functional guide and a vibrant piece of event collateral. The illustration featured:
- Two female walkers to reflect the community-focused energy of the event
- The GinZing SPF product itself, seamlessly integrated into the route
- A London walking map, showing the journey through key areas
- Recognisable landmarks, celebrating the character of the city
- A tailored colour palette drawn from the GinZing activation — warm, energising, citrus-bright tones
- A composition designed for flexibility across digital, print and social assets
This style of event collateral illustration goes far beyond décor. It becomes a visual anchor for the day — something attendees can reference, share, and associate with the brand experience.
Bringing Covent Garden to Life Through Illustration
The event took place in the heart of Covent Garden, where Origins hosted a vibrant activation space to introduce the new SPF. My illustrated route highlighted the surrounding London icons, creating a sense of place and movement while showcasing the brand’s identity.
The artwork needed to feel uplifting, active and warm — reflecting both the walk and the skincare. By building the map around real London textures and layering in stylised figures and product visuals, the illustration captured the energetic spirit behind GinZing.
