Perfume Campaign Illustrations for Electimuss London to launch scent Vesper Reverie

As a live fashion and lifestyle illustrator, I’m always drawn to projects that allow storytelling through layered visuals—and this commission for Electimuss London was exactly that. I was invited to create one of five campaign illustrations for the campaign launching their latest fragrance, Vesper Reverie, a scent rich with complexity and atmosphere.

My approach was to translate the fragrance into a visual experience, resulting in a photomontage-style illustration set within what I imagined as The Garden of Imagination. This setting became a symbolic landscape where each note of the perfume could exist and interact—florals unfolding, deeper tones grounding the composition, and lighter accents weaving through like fleeting thoughts. I wanted the piece to feel immersive, almost dreamlike, as though you’ve stepped inside the scent itself.

Working digitally on Adobe Fresco using my Apple iPad allowed me to build these layers intuitively. I could experiment with texture, transparency, and detail in a way that mirrors how a fragrance evolves over time. Each element was carefully considered, yet there was also a spontaneity to the process—responding to the mood and rhythm of the composition as it developed.

Creating these campaign illustrations was an opportunity to merge illustration with sensory storytelling. It’s always exciting to interpret something intangible, like scent, and give it a visual form that invites others to pause, look closer, and imagine their own experience within it.
