What was the illustration commission?
The commission was to produce an editorial illustration for the series led by Grazia – Work of Art, highlighting key pieces from the Cartier Icons collection. I was asked to focus on the Cartos watch, a watch built for explorers and admirers of true beauty. For this I incorporated the nod to aviation in it’s history, by creating a loop path for the panes to loop through, allowing for a textural and storytelling led illustration.
How were the editorial illustrations used?
